Game QA for studios

Welcome to Nebula Labs

We test games for studios — bug tracking, reproduction verification, and QA reports you can hand straight to an engineer.

What we do

Every corner of your game, tested before your players find it first.

QA isn't just clicking through a build and hoping something breaks. Every project starts with a scope call so we understand what you actually need covered — a new feature, a platform port, a full pre-launch pass — then we build a test plan around it instead of running a generic checklist.

Phase 01

Bug tracking

Every defect we find gets filed directly into your tracker the moment it's confirmed — not batched up and delivered at the end of the week. Each entry is triaged by severity and reproduction frequency, so your team always knows what to fix first.

Phase 02

Reproduction

A bug report is only useful if someone can reproduce it. We document exact steps, capture video of the failure in context, and record the hardware and platform it happened on — so your engineers spend their time fixing, not hunting.

Phase 03

Reporting

At the end of every cycle you get a clear summary: what we tested, what we found, what's resolved, and what's still open. No jargon, no filler — just what you need to decide what ships.

Phase 04

Sign-off

When every critical and high-severity bug is resolved or explicitly accepted, we close the cycle with a written sign-off report — a clear record of what shipped clean and what was a known, accepted risk, so nothing surprises you after launch.

The process

How It Works

01

Scope

We talk through what needs testing, on what platforms, and by when. You get a fixed price and timeline before anything starts.

02

Test

Our testers work through your build against the agreed scope, filing bugs as they're found — not saved up for a final report.

03

Report

You get a written summary at the end of the cycle: what was tested, what was found, severity breakdown, and what's still open.

04

Retest

Once fixes are in, we retest the specific issues that were flagged and confirm they're resolved before sign-off.

What makes us different

A smaller team, closer to your build.

There are QA vendors who'll staff your project with whoever's free that week. We don't work that way. The same small team stays on your project cycle to cycle, so they're not relearning your game every time you send a new build.

Speed

You talk directly to the people testing your game — not a support queue, not an account manager relaying messages. When something needs clarifying, you get an answer in minutes, because there's no layer between you and the tester who found it.

Craft

“The game crashed” tells you nothing. Every report includes exact reproduction steps, video, the platform and build it happened on, and how often it recurs — so an engineer can act on it the moment they open it.

Security

We sign an NDA before we ever touch your build. Files are stored per-project, access is limited to testers actually assigned to your game, and everything is revoked automatically when the cycle ends.

Why we started

Most QA feels like sending your game into a black box and hoping something useful comes back. We started Nebula Labs because that's backwards — the studio shipping the game should be able to talk directly to the person who found the bug, see exactly how it happened, and trust that their build isn't sitting somewhere it shouldn't be. We're small on purpose. Every project gets people who actually understand what they're testing, not a rotating queue of unfamiliar names.

FAQ

Common Questions

Do you need our source code?

No — we test builds the same way a player would experience them. Source access is never required.

Is our unreleased build safe with you?

We sign an NDA before any build access, store project files separately per client, and revoke access automatically when a cycle ends.

What platforms do you support?

PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch, across most engines. Tell us your platform during scoping and we'll confirm coverage.

How long does a typical cycle take?

Depends on scope — a focused feature pass can be a few days, a full pre-launch certification pass is usually one to two weeks. You get an exact timeline before anything starts.
